It’s finally here, hacks and hackers: the new HacksHackers.com!

We’ll be sharing some behind-the-scenes insights later on about our vision for the site, its development and the people who contributed. But for now, check out the updated directory of groups and the snazzy interactive layout.

Toronto is rebooting this year after taking a break for the back half of 2016. Organizer Pippin Lee said restarting can be tough as leaders get their footing and build a network.

“Consistent events help carry momentum and interest. Don’t be afraid to start with casual events (that are simpler to plan) and slowly grow them into more formal, speaker style events.”

  • Two Dutch journalists launched a company for creating hackathons, called Hackastory. They’ll be at ISOJ next month to hold a hackathon for developing accountability tools (Knight Center)
