Suggest a workshop for the Media Party
Hello, hacks and hackers! The call for proposals is open for the Hacks/Hackers Media Party in Buenos Aires in August.
The Buenos Aires group is accepting suggestions for both workshops and lightning talks.
Worth a read:
- Oxford’s Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism released its annual report on digital news, including findings on how young people are consuming news, and found that readers between 18-24 used YouTube the most of any other media platform for news.
- GIJN interviewed journalists around the world to see how they’re investigating food stories, including angles like the effect of climate change on food production to the safety and regulation of labor practices.
- Nightingale, the journal for the Data Visualization Society, published its first print magazine this month and talked to the creative director of the magazine about the behind-the-scenes process.
