The week ahead for Hacks/Hackers:

• In London, folks from several different groups attend MozFest and host a session about Hacks/Hackers. If you’re a Hack/Hacker in London or at MozFest, you may also be interested in this pre-event event hosted by OpenNews and News Labs.
• The groups in Columbia, Mo., and Miami both hold their regular open lab hours.  
• Hacks/Hackers India, as a launch event for a new group in Bengaluru, holds an event on how to connect with a social news audience.
• In Singapore, the group hosts a post-mortem and open critique on election graphics from the recent general election.

Group spotlight:

The Islamabad group held its first meetup on Monday. A good group of more than a dozen people came out to discuss using earthquake data. Check out photos on Hacks/Hackers Pakistan’s Facebook page and tweets from the event.
